
College of the North Atlantic, Carbonear campus, is located on the east coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. Carbonear is one of Canada’s oldest town’s with a rich cultural history dating back to 1550. The current population is approximately 4,800 residents. Carbonear provides a wide variety of services and attractions. Its friendliness and relaxed atmosphere make it an ideal place to attend secondary or post-secondary, work, raise a family, and/or retire. Residents have close access to health care facilities, secondary and post-secondary schools, shopping, restaurants, recreational facilities including a swimming pool, and many other ammenities.
Carbonear campus offers a variety of programs including Comprehensive Arts & Science Transfer: College-University, Comprehensive Arts & Science College Transition, Community Studies, Business Administration (Accounting and Human Resource Management), Engineering Technology (First Year), Carpenter, Heritage Carpentry, Bricklayer, Construction/Industrial Electrician, and Adult Basic Education (Levels I, II, and III). We welcome approximately 250 students per year in our full-time programs.
Carbonear campus' Corporate Training & Continuing Education Division develops customized training options from a list of over 100 full-time diploma and certificate programs and a comprehensive range of 300 part-time courses. We also build entirely new programs tailored to fit the training requirements of our clients. As well, the Centre for Agrifood Development at the Carbonear campus is the agriculture training and research centre in the province. We are dedicated to supporting Newfoundland and Labrador's agriculture industry in its endeavor to develop and diversify, realize opportunities, and maximize the potential for long-term growth and sustainability.
