Information Technology
The Information Technology group of College of the North Atlantic is responsible for the coordination and delivery of all college LAN / WAN based services such as ERP business applications, Electronic Library Services, Distance Learning, Electronic messaging, Helpdesk, Videoconferencing, WEB, Desktop Applications and specialized solutions to its 20,000 plus network clients provincially, nationally and internationally.
It is also responsible for the effective oversight and operation of all college deployed wired and wireless network technologies, network monitoring, security and recovery services, as well as providing IT consulting, training, software installation, data base administration, development and support, services.
The Provincial Network Operations Centre (NOC) for College of the North Atlantic is located at its Ridge Road facility in St. John's, Newfoundland. The College's NOC delivers services to all 17 provincial campuses and its Middle Eastern campus in the state of Qatar.
The Group has a staff of approximately seventy skilled individuals in roles such as Architecture Analysts, Data Base Administrators, Wide and Local Area Network Administrators, Functional Analysts , Technical Analysts, Infrastructure Administrators, Computer Support Specialists, Quality Assurance Analysts and Applications Specialists.
