In 2001, College of the North Atlantic entered a 10-year agreement with the State of Qatar to develop a comprehensive college of technology for that country. The project has experienced such tremendous success that employment opportunities are greater than first projected. The college is continually recruiting new employees, offering a very competitive compensation and benefits package, to fill a variety of positions at our Qatar operation.
College of the North Atlantic-Qatar (CNA-Q) operates from a state-of-the-art campus with 21 newly constructed buildings housing cutting-edge equipment and facilities including fully-equipped labs and shops, smart classrooms and fully-engaged theatres and an auditorium. The new campus can accommodate up to 3,000 students and 500 employees and has full recreation facilities including swimming pools, tennis courts and a soccer pitch. In 2005, CNA-Q honoured its first graduates and currently has 400 alumni.
College of the North Atlantic-Qatar offers a range of programs with Canadian curriculum that are designed to meet the needs of industry and the community including; technician, technologist and post-diploma programs within the Business Studies, Health Sciences, Engineering Technology, Industrial Trades, Information Communications Technology, and Pre-Nursing programs and will soon expand into other program areas.
We have created a culturally diverse student-centered college that places high value on the success and satisfaction of our students. Male and female students have separate cafeterias, student lounges, and recreational areas with swimming pools. Common spaces include public lobbies, cafés, libraries, classrooms, laboratories, auditoriums and courtyards.
Traditional elements and modern design have merged in a unique architectural concept. The campus provides a friendly and comfortable environment that is conducive to study, learning and communication, and delivers an exterior and interior design that is memorable and worthy of the institution.
