CNA was awarded this contract after a competitive process with other technical colleges in Canada and abroad. The competition was narrowed down to among several colleges in Canada and eventually awarded to College of the North Atlantic. This project, valued at more than $1.7 billion US, is the largest educational contract ever awarded in Canada.
CNA-Q was first administered by CNA employees – payroll and support staff, faculty and management. Today, we have people from every province in the country working at CNA-Q, as well as those hired in Qatar.
Our contract packages are extremely competitive, and you’ll find people from all walks of life at CNA-Q. There are many families with small children, couples, retirees – people who want to explore a lucrative career in an exotic part of the world. Some of our Canadian employees’ children have been born in Qatar and all go to secondary school there – at the Qatar Canadian school. It is in its fourth year of offering programs from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 9.
