Ground Water Drilling – This 15-week course teaches the skills required to operate a water well drilling rig. Graduates will qualify for employment as oil rig roughnecks, geothermal/groundwater drillers and ground water system installation. Applicants must be high school graduates or equivalent. Heavy Equipment Operator Helper – This 11-week course will teach students to operate heavy equipment and provide them with the operating time required to qualify for licenses for front-end loaders, excavators and dump trucks. Personal Care Attendant – This 20-week program teaches students to assist individuals who have limitations caused by their health. Successful graduates will qualify for employment in hospitals, group homes, and individual care situations. Applicants must be high school graduates or equivalent. Career Exploration – An 11-week course designed to provide an opportunity for participants to learn about a variety of occupations to assist them with choosing a career path. Bridge Watch – This 25-week course combines classroom theory, at sea training and MED (Medical Emergency Duties). Graduates qualify for careers as deck hands or bridge duties under the supervision of the captain. Carpentry – This 37-week course will introduce students to the basic principles of carpentry; learn how to use, care and operate basic tools and machinery, building layout, form construction and framing, interior and exterior finishes (using national Building Code Standards). Web Page Developer – This 25-week program provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge required to create, edit and optimize graphics, create Flash animations for the Web, and plan and design compelling interactive Web sites. It provides in-depth knowledge of how to use Macromedia Dreamweaver and Notepad to create Web pages.
