Our Student Development Officer offers a very personalized approach to assisting students. She can help you to determine if you are eligible for the program of your choice. If you are not eligible, she can advise you on what path to take to become eligible. She coordinates entrance testing for those that require it. If you are not sure what course or program to take, she can give you guidance. If you are unsure as to how you can pay for your education, she can show you what options are available. If you have childcare or housing issues, contact her for the information on the available options. If you are interested in being a student leader, you can work with her to play a leadership role at the campus. Do you have difficulty in reading and writing? Have you struggled academically in the past? Do you require special assistance because of a physical or learning challenge that you might have? If this is the case, you should not be discouraged. The resource facilitator at St. Anthony Campus can help you to achieve your academic goals. The resource facilitator helps students who have a diagnosed challenge, and can even set up special testing to help students to get a diagnosis as to why they are having certain difficulties. Our resource facilitator uses advanced technology and the support from our disability services coordinator in our Corner Brook office to ensure that students get all the support possible through CNA in achieving their academic goals. In some cases, the goals may be to get a driver’s license, to learn to read to your child, to move to a modified program, or to move onto a regular program of your choice. Our library offers a quiet and friendly environment where students can come to relax and learn. Our librarian is constantly replenishing our inventory to ensure students have all the resources they need. She also supervises students who are doing correspondence courses through supervising their tests. If you are really quiet, she might bring in some of her home-baked goods. Classrooms at St. Anthony campus are equipped with the latest computer hardware and software. This includes Smartboard technology, LCD projectors and computer laboratories …. This is all connected by a T1 connection providing great connectivity for internet usage. This is all maintained and supported by our computer support technician who is ready to help you as you hone your IT skills as a student.
