According to the federal government 1.3 million new jobs will be created in Canada this decade – the largest portion expected in occupations that require a community college diploma or trades certificate. Compound this with the fact that a great number of skilled trades people in Canada are set to retire, and you’ve got a very high return on investment for those with a college diploma.
Even those with undergraduate degrees are going back to school – to college – to augment their education.
“University graduates with such diverse degrees as English literature and anthropology, even MBAs and engineers, are flocking to [public] college to access state-of-the-art technology tools and programs for jobs in sectors such as Internet web administration and e-commerce.”
