CNA President and CEO, Ann Marie Vaughan, welcomed students to the Bay St. George campus on Tuesday during a meet and greet session. The session was the first event of the Fall Orientation 2015 – CNA: Where you CAN schedule.

College of the North Atlantic (CNA) welcomed students to the 2015-2016 academic year on Tuesday, September 8th with Fall Orientation 2015 – CNA: Where you CAN!

Orientation activities throughout the province will include student barbeques, scavenger hunts (onsite and online via Instagram), open mic competitions, career fairs, concerts and campus tours where students will be able to familiarize themselves with what their campus has to offer.

Even CNA alumni will be getting in on the action during this year’s festivities – namely Paul Brake of the up-and-coming pop punk band from St. John’s, RocketRocketShip. Brake and his bandmates will be taking to the Prince Philip Drive stage on Wednesday, September 16th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Other campus signature events that day will include The Navigators at Ridge Road campus, Todd Ingram in Port aux Basques, Nick and the Mayhem for students of the Bay St. George campus and Dave McHugh in Corner Brook – to name a few.

CNA President and CEO, Ann Marie Vaughan says the excitement of this year’s fall orientation has been building for some time.

“We’re excited to welcome our new and returning students with a slate of events around the province that will be sure to raise their sense of community and college pride,” said President Vaughan. “The theme of this year’s orientation is ‘CNA: Where you CAN’… this theme was designed by our students and we’re delighted to participate with them in making this a province-wide orientation program for our students, and also our faculty and our staff.

“Our faculty and staff help our students succeed every day – and we know it’s through their support that our students are given the opportunity to become successful graduates of College of the North Atlantic.”

Fall Orientation 2015 is proudly supported by members of the provincial business community. This year’s Level 1 sponsors include the Newfoundland & Labrador Construction Safety Association, Kiewit, The Telegram, and Coast 101.1 FM.
