The School of Academics offers courses/programs designed to improve access to post-secondary education/training and to strengthen fundamental skills required for the world of work. Within academics programming, there are opportunities to attain high school equivalency, make a successful transition from high school to post-secondary studies, attain first-year university equivalent credits, or study English as a Second Language.
Students completing Adult Basic
Education (ABE) or Comprehensive Arts
and Science (CAS) College Transition may
choose to enter the world of work or pursue
further studies in post-secondary programming.
Through Comprehensive Arts and Science
(CAS) Transfer: College-University, students
can pursue a suite of courses that will gain
credit from CNA and Memorial University
(MUN). Still, others may choose to increase
language proficiency through English as a
Second Language so as to participate effectively
in Canadian culture, train in English speaking
institutions, or work in environments
where English is the primary spoken
language.
