College of the North Atlantic’s (CNA) Industrial
Trade programs have a perfect
combination of hands-on and classroom
work. Students are instructed in the theory
of a topic and then have the opportunity to
complement that knowledge with a practical
component. Related courses are also a
part of programs to give students the skills
they need to excel in today’s workplace.
Advisory Committees are in place for each
trade to ensure the current Plan of Training reflects the demand of industry. Courses
are designed to cover the skills and knowledge required to produce skilled workers
who will be successful in their
fields and in any
further training
or certification.
Reasonably small class size and well equipped shops provide an excellent learning environment. Students have an ideal situation to receive one-on-one instruction in the classroom and the shop.
