SE1075 - Dev. & Impl. of OHSMS & Stand.
This course is designed to provide an understanding of the principles of organizational behaviour that will enable the occupational health and safety practitioner to effectively interact with the various workplace parties to enhance occupational health and safety. This will also involve learning the functions of management, approaches to management, leadership styles, conflict management and business processes. Students will use their understanding of appropriate concepts and theories and apply to case studies. The course project will require development of a comprehensive strategy detailing how you would implement each of the components of one of the standards - CSA Z1000, OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001, based upon a specific element of a Health and Safety Program. (i. e. Hearing Conservation Program, Inspections, Incident Investigation).
