SE2300 - Quality Management Systems
This course is designed to introduce the student to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9000 quality standards, Deming, Juran, Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award (MBNQA), Crosby, Total Quality Management (TQM), and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Emphasis will be on providing a good understanding of ISO 9000. Several approaches to the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of quality management systems, which may be used to complement the ISO 9000 standards, will be discussed. Quality concepts and problem-solving techniques associated with SPC will be addressed.
