WI1020 - Intro to Wind Turbine Systems

This course introduces students to the basics of wind energy. Students will learn the history of wind power, different types of turbine designs used in industry, components of turbine systems, turbine aerodynamics, and site selection. The differences between small-scale wind market and utility and large wind projects are outlined.
