Are you looking to enhance your skills and train for opportunities on major projects in the province?

College of the North Atlantic is looking for individuals who are interested in completing a 8-week Construction Craft Worker (LABOURER) training program. This program will serve to introduce students to the construction industry and industrial environment with an emphasis on the carpentry trade. Students will learn to use trade tools and equipment while performing practical excercises to enhance their skills as a Construction Craft Worker (LABOURER). Students will learn to recognize safe and efficient work habits that are considered best practices in an industrial/construction work site, including tool safety and material handling.

Learners will also receive the following safety certification: Fall Protection (WHSCC), Back Injury Preventision, Traffic Control Person, Emg. First Aid, WHMIS, Chainsaw Safety, and Forklift Operator Safety.

Entrance requirements: Grade 10 or equivalent or Admission based on Mature Student Requirements.
