Newfoundland and Labrador is a land rich in
cultural heritage, minerals, forests, fish and
wildlife… an abundance of natural resources
upon which the people of this land have
drawn for millennia. With increasing global
emphasis on environmental education,
sustainable tourism, integrated resource
policy and ecosystem-based management,
College of the North Atlantic’s (CNA) School
of Tourism and Natural Resources has become
a leader in applying these principles
to the management, protection and utilization
of our natural resources.
With six well integrated
programs across broad tourism
and natural resources sectors, the school is
home to training opportunities for many of
Canada’s fastest growing industries.
With two-year and three-year diploma programs
of study encompassing forest management,
fish and wildlife monitoring, environmental
remediation, fisheries enforcement, hospitality
management and adventure tourism,
the school provides a wealth of knowledge,
understanding and experiential education
to the natural resources and tourism industries.
