Salary Information

CG26 - $45,554.60 - $50,414.00 per annum.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Clerk Typist III provides essential clerical and administrative support to College of the North Atlantic's Gander Campus. This front-line role is responsible for a wide range of duties that ensure efficient campus operations and excellent service delivery:

 

  • Serve as the first point of contact for students, staff, and the public by providing front desk support, responding to inquiries in person, by telephone, and email, and directing individuals to the appropriate department or resource.
  • Provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to campus operations and instructional staff, including preparing correspondence and reports, coordinating schedules, and managing routine communications.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using a variety of software applications, including PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office, for word processing, spreadsheet development, document preparation, and related administrative functions.
  • Administer cashiering functions, including preparing cash reports, managing cash floats and deposits, issuing receipts, and reviewing and maintaining accurate student account records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in both physical and electronic formats.
  • Coordinate the receipt, review, and processing of admission applications; register students in appropriate programs and courses; and ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and properly verified.
  • Maintain student grades in the PeopleSoft system; compile, verify, and distribute academic reports; and prepare official student documentation, including transcripts, certificates, and confirmation letters.
  • Provide additional administrative support as required to contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the campus.

     

Screening Criteria

  • Diploma in Office Administration (equivalencies will be considered). 
  • Recent, relevant experience in a similar administrative role, providing front-line support to clients or the public.

  • Ability to deliver exceptional client service.
