The Newfoundland and Labrador Prospectors Association (NLPA) is excited to be teaming up with College of the North Atlantic (CNA) to offer a series of one-day regional career awareness workshops on prospecting throughout the province.

“Many of this province’s past and present producing mines were either directly or indirectly discovered by prospectors. Like many sectors in the province, most of our experienced prospectors are part of an aging demographic, and it is vital that we raise awareness about prospecting to a younger generation, including high school students and young adults who are finished school. The NLPA and CNA gratefully acknowledge the provincial government’s financial support of just over $58,000 under the Labour Market Partnership Program to make this event possible.”

If you are a high school student or young adult who has finished school; enjoys outdoor activities, such as camping and hiking; and, you have a sense of adventure and discovery, then this one-day workshop is for you.
Registration is $20, and entitles participants to a one-year NLPA membership.
