NC9637   Climbing Techniques & Safety Procedures for Climbing Wood Poles (18 Hours)

Course Overview:

The Climbing Techniques and Safety Procedures for Climbing Wood Poles training is a course designed to teach fundamentals of climbing techniques and safety procedures. It is suitable for any individual in a job requiring ascending to and working in high locations. This training would be beneficial to those working as oil rig derrick persons, utility line workers, ironworkers, and others involved in construction of high rise structures, tree trimming around transmission lines, servicing of telecommunication tower, rigging on ships and installation of signs. Note: individuals attending will be required to wear safety gear for the training, for example: approved hard hat, belts, climbing equipment such as harnesses, lanyards, steel toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, etc. Instructional methods will include lectures, labs, discussion groups and practical application. Each participant in the program will be provided with a course manual and other applicable materials.
