Dr. Sanat Mandal

Dr. Mandal has M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science under Calcutta University, India. Prior to joining the College of the North Atlantic, Dr. Mandal was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Memorial University. He is presently an Adjunct Professor at the BioMedical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University. In addition to teaching, he has been actively involved in multidisciplinary applied research.

He has a broad spectrum of publications (60) in organic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, biomimetic-electrocatalytic mineral processing, wastewater processing, electrochemistry, integrative medicinal chemistry utilizing gene expression technologies, bioinformatics and molecular modelling/docking tools. He has a background in process simulations packages such as Symtronics and UniSim Design tools. Sanat is also a reviewer for more than 15 international journals.
