Salary Information

CG25 - $44,153.20 - $48,612.20 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee the daily inventory of supplies needed at the Placentia Campus.
  • Receive materials and supplies following established accounting procedures, provide quality procurement support and maintain records of fixed assets, and all required inventory reports.
  • Maintain control of resale items through a computerized point of sale system including textbooks, tools, and supplies.
  • Control cash and credit sales and print daily cash reports.
  • Utilize PeopleSoft and follow-up on outstanding purchase orders while also providing mail room services and scheduling courier service for all departments. 
  • Responsible for journaling, requisitions, waybills, online payments and petty cash.
  • May require some physical demands.  Some lifting may be required.
  • Other related duties as required.

Screening Criteria

  • High School Diploma supplemented by post-secondary coursework in accounting through an Office Administration or Business program (equivalencies will be considered).
  • Work experience in receiving, stocking and shipping supplies.
  • Experience with computerized inventory control.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite computer applications, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Forklift licence (asset).

  • Knowledge of accounting, purchasing and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of computer applications.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft (asset).
  • Ability to manage time and tasks.

Conditions of Offer

  • When requested by the Employer, a recent and satisfactory Certificate of Conduct must be provided. 

Conditions of Acceptance

  • Willing to accept a physically demanding position.
  • Acknowledges the requirement for lifting and moving objects weighting up to 50 lbs.
  • Physical effort includes the unloading goods/materials by hand and/or with the assistant of pallet jacks and forklifts; lifting, pushing, pulling and moving supplies while maintaining stock shelves.
