Salary Information

CG41 - $74,456.20 - $87,815.00 per annum.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promotes the mandate, goals, objectives and programs of the Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator (MICA) Network regionally and nationally.
  • Serve as the primary regional point of contact for the MICA Network, providing ongoing business counseling and support to existing and prospective MICA members.
  • Advise the College on emerging and innovative technologies relevant to the mining sector to support productivity, sustainability, and commercialization at regional, provincial, and national levels.
  • Provide strategic advice to CNA and MICA on economic, technological, and industry trends impacting the development of the regional mining ecosystem.
  • Engage with MICA members, project proponents, and partners to identify business development, commercialization, and innovation support needs.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver workshops, events, and networking activities that support innovation and capacity-building within the mining sector.
  • Represent CNA within the MICA Network at regional and national meetings, project discussions, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Support the planning and implementation of MICA Network business development activities and national initiatives.
  • Prepare and communicate detailed reports, briefing notes, proposals, and progress updates on innovation projects from demonstration through commercialization, ensuring accurate internal and external communication.

Screening Criteria

  • Undergraduate Degree in a Business Administration field, Innovation Support, regional/community economic and/or resource development or related field (equivalencies will be considered).
  • Experience supporting business development, technology adoption, resource development or innovation services, or similar activity.
  • A combination of education and work experience will be considered.
  • Good understanding of the regional and national mining sector ecosystem (asset). 

Assessment Criteria

  • Knowledgeable about organization/network development strategies and social, economic, business, technological and resource development issues facing the mining sector. 
  • Knowledge of project management, and consultative work and professional business and membership analysis.
  • Ability to effectively exchange information.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Relationship building.
  • Ability to manage time and tasks independently.
  • Ability to work in a team.

Conditions of Offer

  • When requested by the Employer, a recent and satisfactory Certificate of Conduct must be provided. 
  • Be able to travel national and international.
  • Verification of credentials and applicable licenses, certifications, and/or professional memberships as required for the position.
