Finish SMART is a three week, interactive program designed to help students build the professional and employability skills employers value most as they prepare to transition from post secondary education into the workforce.

The Finish SMART journey builds upon the SMART Student Success Pathway. It begins with Start SMART, which supports students in their transition to post‑secondary life by helping them understand what to expect and how to prepare for success. This foundation continues with Stay SMART, focused on strengthening the skills, habits, and mindset needed to thrive academically and personally throughout a student’s time at the College. FinishSMART completes the pathway by reinforcing those skills while integrating key competencies and topics identified by industry and employers. Through hands‑on activities and real‑world scenarios, students develop confidence in professional communication, customer service, adaptability, problem‑solving, and responsible use of artificial intelligence. The program also prepares students for job success with practical sessions on networking, job searching, resume and cover letter writing, and interview preparation. Students may also have the opportunity to earn co‑curricular badges that recognize their career‑ready skills in Professional Conduct and Workplace Adaptability.
