Salary Information
HL20 - $69,338.00 - $90,139.30 per annum
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain, grow, and diversify the operation and future of CNA Foundation’s fundraising and advancement initiatives.
- Design, develop and implement all major advancement initiatives. This includes setting clear financial targets, identifying prospective donors, and determining the most effective strategies for engagement.
- Manage and nurture relationships with both new and existing donors. This includes developing comprehensive stewardship programs to ensure that donors are engaged, appreciated, and informed about the impact of their contributions.
- Supervise the Advancement Officer, who is responsible for the administration and stewardship of existing donor relationships.
- Work closely with the Director, the Manager of Alumni and Special Events, and other internal departments, schools and campuses to ensure that fundraising efforts are integrated with the Foundation’s overall mission.
- Prepare detailed and compelling proposals (in collaboration with college leadership) for prospective donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Track and report on the financial performance of all fundraising campaigns and donor contributions.
- Other related duties as required.
Screening Criteria
- A bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, economics, or strategic management (equivalencies will be considered).
- Relevant experience managing advancement initiatives within a corporate or foundation setting.
- Relevant experience in a post-secondary environment (asset).
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of designing and implementing fundraising initiatives, donor engagement strategies, and initiatives.
- Knowledge of analyzing and preparing financial metrics and complex data.
- Ability to effectively exchange information.
- Stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to operate budgets and ensure cost-effective fundraising initiatives.
- Planning skills and expertise in innovative problem solving and strategic, critical, lean thinking.
- Commitment to supporting education and lifelong learning and helping individuals achieve their goals through philanthropy.
