CG39 - $70,434.00 - $78,824.20 per annum
Duties and Responsibilities
- Use advanced knowledge of instructional design and learning technologies to design and develop high-quality, online instructional materials with subject matter experts for adult learners.
- Organize and design learning content into professional, clear, effective instructional materials and engaging online activities to permit students to practice their learning and receive informative feedback
- Designs and develops assessment strategies, instruments and activities based on learning objectives
- Researches, writes, and produces relevant design documents to clearly identify scope of course, intended audience, development milestones, method of delivery, and learning outcomes.
- Works closely with faculty members, other Instructional Designers, and media development staff.
- Provides project management for course development planning and quality assurance processes for internal and external projects.
- Directly responsible to the Director, Academic Development and Planning.
Screening Criteria
- A degree in Education, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or Multimedia, with a technology background, combined with relevant multimedia development experience (equivalencies will be considered).
- A Master's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field (asset).
- Experience with software applications and coding languages (e.g. HTML) related to online/multimedia course development is required.
- Experience with instructional design, project management, adult education, and universal design for learning is required.
