Salary Information

CG27 - $47,301.80 - $52,306.80 per annum.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plays a key role in supporting international students throughout their admissions journey at College of the North Atlantic by handling inquiries, evaluating applications, maintaining student records, providing essential guidance to international students on admissions and enrollment processes, and providing ongoing student support from pre-arrival to graduation.
  • Admissions and records management: respond to inquiries from prospective and current international students; assess international applications; review documents such as transcripts to determine eligibility for entry; maintain student records in PeopleSoft; monitor waitlists; and process admission-related documentation from initial enrollment through to graduation. 
  • Student support: primary point of contact for international students; provide guidance on policies, procedures and processes related to international student admissions and enrollment; liaise with international recruitment agents and assist with correspondence regarding student applications; work closely with campus staff to support international students' arrival, orientation, and settlement; provide students with information regarding, health insurance, as well as registration and enrollment requirements.
  • Other related duties as required. 

Screening Criteria

  • Diploma in Office, or Business, Administration (equivalencies will be considered).
  • Recent, relevant work experience providing administrative support.
  • Administrative experience in a student services setting (asset).

Assessment Criteria

  • Knowledge of administrative support functions, including document management, data entry, and admissions.
  • Knowledge of student services, particularly related to the application and admission process in a post-secondary institution (asset).
  • Knowledge of computer applications (MS Office).
  • Knowledge of student information systems, particularly PeopleSoft (asset).
  • Client focused and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Organizational skills to coordinate services and administrative activities in a time-sensitive manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Communication skills.
