Salary Information
CG39 - $70,434.00 - $78,824.20 per annum.
Duties and Responsibilities
- As Project Coordinator, this position is required to coordinate all project management aspects of the implementation of the selected recommendations from the Province's Apprenticeship Review Project mandated by the Department of Jobs, Immigration and Growth (JIG) to the NL Workforce Innovation Centre (NLWIC).
- Reporting to the Director of NLWIC, this position will also work closely with the Project's Sr. Policy, Planning and Research Analyst (Sr. PPRA) as well as other NLWIC Core staff, i.e. Research and Innovation Projects Coordinator, Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator and Public Relations Specialist as required in conjunction with a Project Advisory Committee on the planning, organizing, implementation and reporting of work on twelve recommendations from the Government's Apprenticeship Review Report.
- Duties will include planning, coordinating and implementing all logistics involving travel, venues, invitations, consultation materials, and input to the Project's communications plan for a province-wide consultation process in collaboration with the Project's Sr. PPRA supported by other NLWIC staff as required.
- Other duties include: project budget monitoring and reporting, work planning, development of presentations and other project communications, meetings planning and minute-taking of Project Advisory Committee and other team meetings related to the Project, record keeping of all documents prepared and/or compiled for the project as well as all deliverables from the Project, all using the MS Teams platform and folders; and other related duties as required.
Screening Criteria
- Degree in Business Administration or Commerce (equivalencies will be considered).
- Recent and relevant project management experience.
- Recent and relevant meetings and event management, and consultation experience.
- Skilled trades experience/training (asset).
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of relevant project management procedures (project budget monitoring and reporting, work planning, development of presentations and other project communications).
- Knowledge of meetings and event management including consultations.
- Knowledge of information management procedures.
- Ability to effectively exchange information.
