Salary Information

CG27 - $47,301.80 - $52,306.80 per annum.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Director of the NL Workforce Innovation Centre (NLWIC), the Administrative Officer I is responsible for a variety of administrative, business, and records management services for two NLWIC-led research project collaborations funded by the Future Skills Centre (FSC) - the Employer-led Workforce Development Project and the Welcoming Communities Project.
  • The incumbent will assist both in-person and virtually the NLWIC's Research and Innovation Project Coordinator on the Projects' Workplans as well as the Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator as required, two Policy, Planning and Research Analysts NLWIC project team members for one Project, the Faculty Researcher on another project, and the PR Specialist for FSC Special Projects who supports both Projects. 
  • The Administrative Officer engages in work that includes minute-taking and notes delivery for project teams and Project Advisory Committee(s) that meet regularly, attendance tracking, responding to inquiries, daily office management, preparing and/or compiling and tracking team members' activity, financial, statistical and other reports including Final Reports, and problem solving to respond to issues related to the two Projects.
  • This individual also uses database and spreadsheet software to provide accurate information to internal and external stakeholders to inform evidence-based decision making.

Screening Criteria

  • Completion of a diploma in Office Administration (equivalencies will be considered).
  • Recent and relevant administration experience.

  • Knowledge of relevant administrative support functions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
