Salary Information

HL24 - $86,572.00 - $112,544.00 per annum.

Duties and Responsibilities

The School of Health Sciences delivers full-time and part-time programs across multiple campuses, along with a wide range of customized and continuing education offerings. The School collaborates closely with the Department of Health & Community Services and various regulatory bodies to ensure graduates meet entry-level competencies that support public health and safety. The Associate Dean primarily oversees the Practical Nursing and Personal Care Attendant programs but will also assist with other Health Sciences programming as needed.

  • Provide academic and administrative leadership to support PN & PCA program quality, integrity, and student success.
  • Act as the main contact for PN & PCA program requirements and compliance across campuses and clinical agencies.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards across all sites.
  • Coordinate special projects and initiatives to advance health sciences programming.
  • Collaborate with campus teams on budgeting, planning, and project implementation.
  • Oversee IT and systems orientation for students and faculty (e.g., D2L, SharePoint).
  • Support onboarding and resource provision for new faculty across programs.
  • Promote faculty development and professional collaboration within the School.
  • Advise the Dean on quality assurance, program improvement, and strategic development.
  • Other related tasks as required.

Screening Criteria

  • Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Education, Leadership, or related Health Sciences field.
  • Recent, relevant experience in Nursing or a related Health Sciences field.
  • Teaching experience (asset).
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
