Salary Information
HL 27 - $91,765.00 - $119,293.86 per annum. Please note this position is currently subject to a classification review.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Director will lead the College's Centre for Work-Integrated Learning Connections (WIL-Connect), supporting CNA's strategic goal of enhancing teaching and learning through experiential education. This role involves developing and executing operational plans, managing projects, and leading a team of WIL support staff. The Director will serve as a thought leader in work-integrated learning, working closely with academic and industry partners to ensure high-quality, student-centered WIL experiences that align with evolving workforce needs.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Centre in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Lead and manage the Centre's team, providing direction and support to achieve strategic goals and ensure effective daily operations.
- Oversee budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring financial targets are met and services are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
- Foster and maintain partnerships with clients, collaborators, and industry stakeholders to support innovation and expand WIL opportunities.
- Collaborate with CNA Marketing and Communications to develop and implement outreach strategies that promote work-integrated learning.
- Stay current with trends and advancements in WIL and related technologies to ensure the Centre remains innovative and responsive.
- Build and maintain a network within industry and academia to identify new opportunities for collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards by developing and implementing appropriate policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.
Screening Criteria
- Master's degree Education, Business Administration, Technology or related discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Technology or related discipline.
- Experience designing, leading, or supporting work integrated learning programs, internships, co-ops, or community-based learning.
- Experience in instructional design, learning theory, or related pedagogical practices.
- Experience using ORBIS or other work-integrated learning (WIL) management systems (asset).
- Equivalencies will be considered.
