The Employment Services Officer will be responsible for delivering services in both French and English and will be accountable for:
- Front-line service delivery: serve as the main contact for people seeking employment programs and services, offering friendly, client-focused support to meet their needs.
- Case management: manage caseloads by assessing client eligibility, keeping accurate records, and ensuring program requirements are met; and provide regular follow-up and support to help clients reach their employment goals.
- Client assessments: assess clients' work history, education, skills, and goals to identify barriers to employment and match them with the right programs or supports.
- Individualized employment planning: work with clients to create personalized employment plans, track their progress, make adjustments as needed, and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Employment readiness support: help clients with resumes, cover letters, interview prep, and job search skills, providing one-on-one coaching to build confidence and readiness for work.
- Career guidance and placement: help clients explore career options, make career decisions, plan for job retention and growth, and connect with job opportunities through employers and community networks.
- Access to resources and referrals: assist clients in accessing funding for training or work-related costs and refer them to community resources like childcare, transportation, housing, or mental health support.
- Workshops and group sessions: lead group or one-on-one workshops on job search skills, career development, interviews, and workplace readiness, adjusting content to fit clients' needs.
- Other related duties: carry out other employment services tasks, such as community outreach, building employer connections, and helping improve programs.
Screening Criteria
- Diploma in Business, or Social Sciences (equivalencies will be considered).
- Related experience in employment services, career counselling, social services, and/or workforce development.
- MUST be bilingual in English and French and clearly demonstrated on the resume.

Conditions of Offer
