Salary Information
NUNM26 - $45,554.60 - $50,414.00 per annum.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Clerk Typist III provides a broad range of administrative support for the efficient operation of the Compensation and Benefits Division of HR. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Main area of concentration will be with the Application of Telework: receive, review, and process applications for various telework requests and ensure all required documentation is collected, verified and is compliant with policy and procedures.
- Customer service and Inquiries: serve as a first point of contact for employees and the public by responding to inquiries in person, by phone, or email, and provide accurate information on Telework Program and other HR related inquiries.
- Administrative Support: provide clerical support such as drafting correspondence, preparing reports, filing and handling communications.
- Data entry: utilize various software applications (including PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office, and other database systems) for data input, word processing, spreadsheets, and document preparation.
- File management: maintain accurate HR files, both in physical and electronic formats, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with institutional records management policies.
- Audit documentation: perform regular audit of HR personnel files and benefit files, to ensure compliance of record keeping procedures.
- Other related duties: perform additional administrative functions as required to support the efficient operation of the Compensation & Benefits Division of HR.
Screening Criteria
- Diploma in Office Administration.
- Relevant experience in a similar role providing administrative support.
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of general administrative support functions.
- Knowledge of computer applications and software packages.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft (asset).
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
- Ability to effectively exchange information.
