Salary Information
CG24 - $42,442.40 - $46,737.60 per annum.
Duties and Responsibilities
- This is an evening position at the Prince Philip Drive, Campus Library that assists in the operation and organization of a College Library Resource Center.
- Assists members of the public with library services such as locating print and electronic resources; or operating public computers for basic computer applications such as Word, Internet, etc.
- Answering inquiries from students and collecting revenue and fines on overdue, lost or damaged materials.
- Maintains library collection including removing library materials according to weeding policy and ensuring books are placed in correct call number according to Library of Congress classification standards.
- Manages/performs interlibrary/intercampus loans including tracking books sent to or received from other libraries and informing patrons when requested books arrive.
- Provides reference and research support to the students and staff.
- Compiles various reports such as revenue, petty cash and statistics.
- Prepares rotating stock exchanges for pick-up by packing books into boxes and unpacking new.
- Maintains records and statistics.
- Other related duties as required.
Screening Criteria
- High School Diploma.
- Diploma/Certificate in Library studies (asset).
- Experience working in a Library setting.
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of library operations.
- Knowledge of computer applications and software.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Organizational/time management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
Conditions of Offer
- Evening hours required - Monday to Thursday, 12pm to 8pm. Friday, 8:30am to 4:40pm.
- When requested by the Employer, a recent and satisfactory Certificate of Conduct must be provided.
- Verification of credentials and applicable licenses, certifications, and/or professional memberships as required for the position.
