Salary Information

CG34 - $59,004.40 - $65,720.20 per annum.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads the full Open Call process from start to finish. This includes preparing and posting documents, online public bid openings, reviewing and evaluating bids, issuing purchase orders or contracts, and answering questions from suppliers.
  • Works closely with internal departments and suppliers to make sure specifications are clear, accurate, and meet business needs, and to decide the best way goods or services should be delivered.
  • Administers contracts by working with legal services, staff, and end users to ensure all agreements follow public procurement rules and regulations.
  • Provides ongoing support and administration for long-term contracts throughout their entire term.
  • Responsible for all government reporting, is the main contact for government standing offer agreements, and ensures these agreements are available to College staff.
  • Advises departments and agencies on procurement laws, policies, and trade agreements, and explains how these rules apply to all purchases. Recommends updates to policies and legislation when needed.
  • Resolves supplier issues and works with government officials at all levels on all Standing Offer Agreements and contract matters. 
  • Provides guidance to procurement staff on policies, legislation, and procedures.
  • Works with accounts payable and budgeting teams to resolve invoice and purchase order issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Screening Criteria

Screening criteria has been updated.

  • Diploma in Business Administration, or related field (equivalencies will be considered).
  • Experience in procurement and purchasing activities.  
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) Designation, or equivalent (asset).
