Salary Information
CG29 - $50,250.20 - $55,819.40 per annum.
Duties and Responsibilities
As an Organizational Budget Analyst, you will support College of the North Atlantic in managing its finances efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with daily financial planning and decision-making.
- Preparing biweekly salary forecasts to help maintain budget targets.
- Producing monthly financial reports for assigned campuses.
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks, and areas requiring attention.
- Reviewing financial transactions, including requisitions, payment requests, travel claims, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with College policies.
- Reviewing weekly campus activity reports to address issues and support planning.
- Providing financial insights to guide budget development and year-end projections.
- Serving as a resource for campus managers and staff, explaining financial processes and ensuring adherence to College guidelines.
- Collaborating with departments to resolve issues, streamline processes, and improve efficiency.
- Supporting the development and monitoring of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
- Recommending improvements to financial reporting and planning practices.
- Travelling occasionally within the province to meet campus staff and provide onsite support.
- Undertaking additional financial and administrative tasks as required to support the College's budgeting and reporting objectives.
Screening Criteria
- A Diploma in Business Administration (Accounting focus) - equivalencies will be considered.
- Related experience working in an accounting environment.
- Experience in budgeting (asset).
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of basic accounting practices.
- Knowledge of budgeting (asset).
- Knowledge of accounting and spreadsheet software.

Conditions of Acceptance
