Salary Information

CG26 - $45,554.60 - $50,414.00 per annum.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Clerk Typist III provides clerical and administrative support to the Employment Services office in Corner Brook and serves as a front-line point of contact for clients accessing employment supports and programs:

  • Serve as a front-line point of contact by responding to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries from clients and the public.
  • Provide reception and front desk coverage, greet clients, and assist with general service requests by directing individuals to appropriate staff, programs, or resources.
  • Prepare and process a variety of forms, documents, and routine correspondence.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Maintain records such as client attendance for workshops, programs, and other Employment Services activities.
  • Submit purchasing requisitions and coordinate the ordering and maintenance of office supplies.
  • Perform other related clerical and administrative duties as required to support the efficient operation of the office.

Screening Criteria

  • Diploma in Office Administration (equivalencies will be considered). 
  • Recent, relevant experience in a similar administrative role, providing front-line support to clients or the public.

Assessment Criteria

  • Knowledge of general administrative support functions.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Client-service oriented. 
  • Ability to effectively exchange information.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work in a confidential environment.
  • Professionalism.
  • Relationship building skills. 

Conditions of Offer

  • When requested by the Employer, a recent and satisfactory Certificate of Conduct must be provided. 

Conditions of Acceptance

  • The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at our Corner Brook office, as remote work is not available at this time.
