CG26 - $45,554.60 - $50,414.00 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities

The Clerk Typist III provides front-line clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient daily operations of the Seal Cove Campus:

  • Serves as the first point of contact for students, staff and external stakeholders by responding to inquiries on College programs, admissions, registration, fees, and student services processes.
  • Performs cashiering functions, including receiving and processing payments, issuing receipts, reconciling daily transactions, and ensuring secure handling of cash, debit, and other payments. 
  • Processes student financial transactions, including issuing refunds in accordance with College policies and procedures.
  • Prepares, prints, and amends T2202A tuition tax forms and supports the distribution of student tax documentation as required.
  • Assists students with application procedures.
  • Prepares and distributes student information packages.
  • Provides administrative support to the admissions process, including data entry, application tracking, and maintaining accurate student records within College systems.
  • Prepares and enters requisitions and invoices.
  • Assists with student registration activities.
  • Supports graduation processes by assisting with documentation, student eligibility tracking, and coordination of required administrative tasks.
  • Assists with cafeteria operations, including food ordering, inventory tracking, and basic supply management to support service delivery.
  • Supports accreditation and program review processes.
  • Provides general office support including photocopying, faxing, scanning, filing, and document preparation.
  • Perform other related clerical and administrative duties as required to support the efficient operation of the office.

Screening Criteria

  • Diploma in Office Administration (equivalencies will be considered). 
  • Recent, relevant experience in a similar administrative role, providing front-line support to clients or the public.

Assessment Criteria

  • Knowledge of general administrative support functions.
  • Knowledge of cashiering functions.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Client-service oriented. 
  • Ability to effectively exchange information.
  • Ability to work in a confidential environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload while meeting established deadlines.
  • Professionalism.
  • Relationship building skills.
