Communication skills are critical in any work environment. This course gives students the opportunity to focus on the communication skills, computer skills, and employability skills that are utilized in the workplace.
Students will explore communications skills including reading instructions and training material, writing skills, listening skills, and communicating verbally with peers and supervisors.
Computer use will include the use of email, the internet and documents including creating a resume.
Employability skills such as time management, maintaining a positive attitude, problem solving, resolving conflicts, and working with others are covered to ensure the student is prepared for a successful transition into the workplace.
