This Beginner Rug Hooking course will cover basic rug hooking techniques to create and finish a hooked rug. Participants will learn how to design, hook, and finish a hooked rug using the appropriate tools and materials. No prior knowledge of rug hooking is needed. This course is for anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of rug hooking. (12 Hours)

The Chainsaw Safety (Awareness) course ensures that participants are aware of how to safely operate and maintain a chainsaw. The topics covered include the history of chainsaws, protective clothing, basic maintenance, and operating a chainsaw safely. Participants will also have hands-on experience with working with a chainsaw in a safe environment. (4 Hours)

The Climbing Techniques training is a course designed to teach the fundamentals of wooden pole climbing techniques and safety procedures. It is suitable for any individual in a job requiring ascending to and working in high locations. This training would also be beneficial to those working as oil rig derrick persons, utility line workers, ironworkers, involved in construction of high-rise structures, tree trimming around transmission lines, servicing of telecommunication tower, rigging on ships, and installation of signs. Participants will be required to wear safety gear for the training. PREREQUISITES: NC1915 - Fall Protection.

This Job Search Workshop is intended to help participants prepare for a job search. Participants will create a resume, cover letter and prepare for an interview. Participants will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with the instructor to review, garner feedback, and revise their career and job search portfolio (resume, cover letter) and practice their interview skills. Successful completion of NC333X is dependent upon completion of all the following activities: - Creating a Resume - Creating a Cover Letter COURSE HOURS PER WEEK: Five (5) hours total LAB HOURS PER WEEK: Twenty (20) hours total

This Respectful Workplace Training course teaches participants about their roles and responsibilities in creating and maintaining a respectful workplace. Participants will learn about elements of diversity, types of bias and how they manifest in the workplace, types of respectful and disrespectful language and behaviour, and reporting processes common to all workplaces. (6 Hours)
