Course Overview:

The American Sign Language 1 (ASL) course is designed to introduce participants to ASL. Concepts discussed relate to people, places, and things within the immediate environment. In this course, participants learn to handle basic, everyday communication including introducing oneself and exchanging personal information. A "no-voice" teaching method is used to reinforce the learning experience. Participants learn through classroom instruction and role-play.
