Course Overview:

The Firearms Safety - Hunter Education Safety course is an external certification course combining both courses. The Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) is an introductory course designed for novice and experienced firearms users. Firearms safety courses are intended to help reduce firearm-related incidents and increase safety for the user and the public. It offers training in safe operating, carrying, displaying and transporting firearms. This course is required for
individuals wishing to act as certified Hunting Guides and is required for anyone interested in obtaining their Possession and Acquisition License for obtaining a non-restricted firearm. In the Hunter Education Safety course, participants will learn the basic concepts of wildlife conservation and management, hunting techniques and laws, hunter ethics and responsibility, outdoor safety and survival techniques. By completing both courses, participants meet the requirement to obtain provincial resident licenses to hunt with a firearm or bow. (18 Hours)
