NC1256   Electrical Hazard Awareness

Course Overview:

In this 8-hour course, students will cover the principles of basic electricity and learn how to recognize potential electrical hazards. Students will also learn to distinguish the difference between voltage levels above and below 425v, develop an appreciation as to how power is distributed, and learn to recognize various types of power equipment and their function. In addition, students will learn about specific plant construction including standard construction and non-standard construction, and specific hazards associated with these. Finally, students will cover risk assessments and job hazards.
