Student campus residence regulations and occupancy are currently under review.
Residence space is limited and therefore the college cannot guarantee a room to everyone who applies. All applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis only after a student has been confirmed in a program at the college.

Students must pay a minimum of two weeks residence fees in advance, or upon arrival in residence. Students intending to move out of residence must give 30 days' notice or pay a penalty of $100.00.
Students are responsible for providing their own bed linens and laundry service.
Meal plans are mandatory.
These fees are to be paid annually and are non-refundable.

Our student residence, Donahue House, is a three-story building located on the Burin Campus grounds and is connected to the College of the North Atlantic.
Bedrooms
Twenty-five rooms have been newly refurbished with a single bed, stationary desk and chair, bookshelves, armoire, updated closet/storage space, and a leather couch or two leather chairs.
Bedrooms for Mobility-Impaired Students
There are several rooms in Donahue House that are equipped to meet the needs of mobility-impaired students. These rooms are located on the first floor and are available to male and female students. Students interested in these accommodations should specify such on their application form and are encouraged to visit the College to determine if the accommodations are suitable to their needs.
Bedding
Students are responsible for providing their own bed linens, towels, and laundry services.
Common areas are shared spaces amongst all students living on-campus. Here you will have the opportunity to meet other students and make new friends.
Computer Room
The computer room is located on the first floor(F1) and contains two computer terminals, and a printer. Residents must use their student ID and password to access the computers.
T.V. Room
The T.V. room is located on the first floor (F1) and is available to all residents and their guests. This room is equipped with a colour cable television.
Kitchen
The kitchen is located on the first floor (F1) and is equipped with refrigerators, ranges, freezers, and microwave. Cooking utensils are not provided.
Games Room
The games room is located on the first floor (F22) and is available to all residents and their guests. The College also has a gymnasium and weight room which are available to students at scheduled times. As well, there is a Student Lounge which students can use during the school day.
Laundry Room
The laundry room is located on the first floor (F4) and is equipped with two washers and two dryers.
Quiet Floors
In addition to regular study and quiet hours, all floors of the residence may be designated quiet for extended periods of time. The objective of the quiet floors is to provide an atmosphere which encourages academic achievement to students who are very serious about their studies. Although it is not possible to describe exactly the degree of “quietness” expected from residents on each floor, examples of unacceptable behavior include the following:
- The use of stereo equipment
- TVs and radios at a volume that can be heard outside the room.
- Room doors being left open while there is a noise being made in the room.
- Congregating in common areas.
- Any noise that interrupts other students studying.

Food Services
A cafeteria is in the main building of the campus and provides daily meals and snacks.
Custodial Services
During regular working hours, the Residence has a custodian who will clean washrooms, hallways, and other common areas daily. Students are responsible for making their own beds and for the general care and appearance of the room. Students are also responsible for removing their room garbage and placing garbage containers in the stairwell.
Parking
Parking is available in the campus parking lot adjacent to the residence building. Please advise Residence Security if any vehicle changes.
Mail Service
Mail is delivered to the general office of the College. Mail is picked up daily (Monday-Friday). Students will be notified through Student Services. Students must inform their correspondents of their change of address prior to leaving the residence.
