Hello everyone! I’m Shirley Woodward, Associate Vice-President of Student Services at College of the North Atlantic.

On behalf of CNA’s Student Services Team and the entire college, I am both delighted and excited to welcome you to the new academic year. Whether you are brand new or returning student, we thank you for choosing CNA and look forward to helping you on your post-secondary journey.

No doubt, the last year and a half have brought many challenges as we try to navigate and maneuver this global pandemic. At CNA, we’ve experienced many of the same challenges, but remain committed to adapting and delivering top-notch, quality programming while putting your health and safety first.

Will things look a little different this again year? Yes, no doubt they will. However, we are here to help you. Our Student Services Team includes Counsellors, Student Development Officers, Accessibility Services Coordinators, Resource Facilitators, Library Services and Co-op Teams. They, along with everyone at your campus, are here to help and support you.

At CNA, we want you to work hard and succeed in your program. And, we also want you to enjoy the full student experience during your time with us. We have many different activities, such as Student Council, Peer Tutoring, Peer Mentoring and much more to help you stay connected and build upon your leadership skills.

We are here to help you – reach out to any of us if you have ideas, questions, or concerns.
