🧠Supporting from the Sidelines
Tuesday, July 28, 2026 @ 7 p.m. NDT / 6:30pm ADT
Starting college is an exciting transition, but it can also come with questions and challenges for both students and their supporters. Join us for this virtual session designed for parents, family members, and supporters of students who may benefit from additional transition support as they prepare to begin at CNA in Fall 2026.
This session may be especially helpful for supporters of students who are registered with Accessibility Services, moving away from home or to a larger community for the first time, feeling anxious about starting college, or who may simply benefit from a little extra guidance as they adjust to a new environment and greater independence.
During this webinar, we'll discuss common first-year transitions, introduce key campus services and supports, and share practical ways you can encourage your student while promoting their independence and success. We'll also outline what to expect once classes begin, including student privacy and consent requirements.
We'll also discuss the important role students play in their own success. While staff are available to provide support, students are responsible for reaching out when they have questions, concerns, or need assistance.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the resources available to help students successfully transition to life at CNA.

🧠Real Talk: Lessons from Current Students
Thursday, July 30, 2026 @ 7 p.m. NDT / 6:30pm ADT
Wondering what college life is really like? Hear directly from current CNA students as they share their experiences transitioning to post-secondary and what they wish they had known before starting college.
This interactive student panel is designed for students who may benefit from additional transition support as they prepare to begin at CNA in Fall 2026. It may be especially helpful for students registered with Accessibility Services, those moving away from home or to a larger community for the first time, students who are feeling anxious about starting college, or anyone who would appreciate a little extra guidance as they adjust to a new environment and greater independence.
Panelists will share honest experiences and practical tips on topics such as navigating the first few weeks of classes, accessing accommodations and other supports, connecting with community resources, and strategies for academic success.
There will also be plenty of time to ask questions and connect with Student Services staff to learn more about the programs and supports available to help you succeed at CNA.
