This page walks Canadian students through the practical steps that come after choosing CNA, including how to apply, what happens after acceptance, and what consent information may be needed.

Application Path

How to apply to CNA

Start with the application method that works best for you, then follow the acceptance and confirmation steps needed to complete your file.

How to Apply to CNA

The fastest and most convenient way to apply is through our online application system . The non-refundable application fee is $30, payable via Visa or Mastercard.

Applicants can apply to a maximum of two (2) programs per academic year. You must indicate a primary and secondary choice. If more than two applications are submitted, you will be required to withdraw one. The additional application fee is non-refundable.

Online Application

  • Apply online using a secure portal.
  • Pay the $30 non-refundable fee via Visa or Mastercard.
  • You'll receive an email confirming your application and requesting supporting documents.

In-Person Application (NL Applicants)

  • Visit any CNA campus and complete a paper application form.
  • Pay the $30 non-refundable fee in person.

PDF Application (Download & Fax)

  • Download the PDF application form .
  • Fill out, sign, scan, and fax to the campus you're applying to.
  • Fax numbers are listed on the first page of the application.
  • Staff will contact you to arrange credit card payment for the $30 non-refundable fee.

After You Apply

After submission, you'll receive an email confirming receipt of your application and requesting supporting documents for eligibility assessment.

Please allow 5–7 business days to receive this confirmation due to high application volumes.

Letter of Acceptance

For most programs, acceptance is based on a first eligible, first accepted model. Applicants who meet admission criteria are placed on an eligibility list based on the date their application is complete-that is, when all required documentation has been received.

Note: Some programs are competitive entry. Acceptance is based on ranking through the program's competitive entry process. See the program page for details.

Letter of Acceptance (LOA)

When a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) is issued, applicants must:

  • Electronically confirm their intent to register.
  • Pay the confirmation fee within two (2) weeks of the LOA date.

Instructions for payment are included with the LOA. The confirmation fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Seat Confirmation Rules

  • Applicants can only be confirmed for one seat.
  • If the confirmation fee is not paid by the LOA deadline, the seat will be lost and a new application will be required.
  • If an applicant confirms a seat in their primary program, the secondary application will be withdrawn.
  • If the secondary program is confirmed, the primary application remains active.

Waitlists and Withdrawals

  • For programs with a waitlist, students must register during designated dates.
  • Failure to register results in cancellation of acceptance and withdrawal of the application.
  • Students who withdraw, do not show up, or discontinue must reapply for future intakes.
