Instructors
Instructors can help you if:
  • you have course specific questions or issues,
  • you have questions about industry expectations,
  • you have questions about how you can find an internship,
  • you have questions about the steps you can take to start planning for an internship

Instructional Coordinators
Instructional Coordinators can help you if:
  • you are adding/dropping a course and are unsure how this will affect your graduation date,
  • you have failed/dropped a course, and need to check if you have the necessary prerequisites to continue next semester,
  • you have failed/dropped a course and need to make up this deficiency (e.g., meet program requirements),
  • you are struggling with your courses and need to know what your options are (e.g., taking a reduced courseload),
  • you wish to inquire about the process to get a course exemption,
  • you are wondering what the best courses are for you to take each semester (i.e., program pathway),
  • you are a part-time student and need to develop a program plan leading to graduation,
  • you would like to apply for a deferred or supplementary exam

Counsellors
Counsellors can help you if:
  • you are having personal problems that are impacting your academic progress or overall wellness,
  • you are unsure what you can do to make a successful transition to college life at CNA,
  • you are feeling overwhelmed with your courseload,
  • you are not sure if your program choice is the right fit for you,
  • you need help understanding college policies and procedures,
  • you need support in creating an academic improvement or success plan (e.g., peer tutoring, study skills sessions),
  • you are unsure about the next steps in your career plan after graduating from CNA,
  • you would like to withdraw from a program and are unsure about the process,
  • you are considering changing programs and need to know how to transfer to another program at CNA,
  • you would like to appeal an academic decision that affects you and need help with the process (e.g, an accusation of academic dishonesty)

Registrar's Office/Admissions
Registrars Office/Admissions can help you if:
  • you would like to check your Academic Status (e.g., probation),
  • you would like to inquire whether or not you are on track to graduate on time,
  • you need to confirm that you have met all the requirements for graduation,
  • you have questions about your transcript (e.g., you are wondering what 'INC' means next to one of your courses).
  • you have questions about your student account,
  • you are looking to sign a consent form to release personal information

Student Development Officers (SDOs)
Student Development Officers (SDOs) can help you if:
  • you have questions about your student loan,
  • you want to find volunteer or employment opportunities at CNA or within your community.
  • you want to learn about student organizations or activities that you can join,
  • you want to find housing options near the campus,
  • you want to know the process for applying for scholarships and awards at CNA,
  • want to get involved with the Student Representative Council (SRC)
