International students at the College of the North Atlantic (CNA) have new guidelines for health insurance, including the option to purchase early-arrival coverage through Guard Me for the 30 days preceding the Fall semester. While all full-time Fall students are automatically enrolled in Guard Me initially, they can transition to Green Shield health and dental coverage for the Winter semester by providing proof of a valid Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Care Plan (MCP) .

Heads up!
Maintaining this coverage requires students to stay proactive with their MCP renewals and coordinate directly with the International Admissions Office to ensure they remain protected throughout the academic year.

  • Early Arrival Coverage:
    Students arriving before the Fall semester can manually enroll in 30 days of Guard Me insurance here . This is an out-of-pocket expense not included in tuition.
  • Fall Semester Enrollment:
