PA1280 - Cardiovascular Emergencies

This course provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular emergencies, including the pathophysiology of several illnesses affecting the cardiovascular system. Through the application of critical thinking strategies, learners will study how to assess and manage cardiovascular emergencies in the pre-hospital setting. Learners will focus on acquiring, analyzing, and interpreting electrocardiogram (ECG) tracings for a variety of arrhythmias. They will also determine when a 12-lead ECG may be required and demonstrate acquiring a 12-lead ECG.
